The Last Poets – The Last Poets (Self-titled)
The Last Poets' self-titled debut is a landmark recording that captures the raw power of spoken word poetry over jazz and funk instrumentation. Released in 1970, this album introduced the world to the group's revolutionary blend of social commentary, rhythmic verse, and infectious grooves. Featuring iconic tracks that became anthems for the civil rights and Black Power movements, The Last Poets deliver unflinching critiques of systemic inequality paired with hypnotic beats. Essential listening for anyone seeking authentic voices of resistance and cultural awakening. A timeless classic that remains strikingly relevant today.
Vinyl is NM- with a couple of hairlines under bright light; Includes original inner sleeve; The cover is a gatefold, and opens from the top. So if your looking at the front cover the spine is at the bottom. The when you just turn the cover around (left to right) the back cover is upside down...very unique. Cover is in great shape except for a little wear along the spine....which again is the "bottom"; Some copies have an "Adults Only" label, this one does not.
