Allen Ginsberg / William Blake ‎– Songs Of Innocence And Experience LP on Verve!

$44.99

Allen Ginsberg & William Blake present poems (songs) for your listening enjoyment...think The Village in NYC circa early 60s.  Rumor has it that this 1970 recording was due to be released on the Beatles "Zapple" label which catered to spoken word and "cosmic sound" offerings...it's first two being Electronic Sound and Life With The Lions.  In 1970, with Allen Klein at the helm, Apple ceased funding the experimental label.  So this material was released by Verve in stereo in 1970.

Vinyl only rated NM because the LP is open, some would grade as Mint; Cover is fantastic, solid spine and seams with very little edge wear small initials back cover top right; Beautiful set...an example of 60's beatnikism! LOL - James
